I sent too many of these out every day. Maybe if I spread word of these questions, someone out there will heed the message and send us poor help people some more information! :) The more information you provide, the faster you help us resolve it for you.
I. I've ripped two pair of dockers this week.
II. I've spent a load on gas money ... This week alone ... and I may have to buy more this weekend. No, it's not a leak.
III. I approve entries that are most likely submitted by people who are paid much more than I do. They submit these entries on a third-party site. Does it make ANY sense to anyone why their entries are ready to be approved before they've posted corresponding files on their own website? Depending on the choices they make on feedback, going to their website can be optional, if they provide alternate means of contact or pretty much necessary if they do not... They do not. A few entries here and there from varied companies, no big. Many coming from one? Annoying. I make every effort to find a match on their site with no avail.
IV. Driving: Why do some people execute a turn quickly then s..l..o..w.. down to 10 miles below the speed limit? the trickiest part is fucking over with. Why do some people illegally turn on red when they can't see oncoming traffic? this was almost my first accident!!! WAIT! Lets get this right. NOT MY ACCIDENT, some other stupid fuck's accident! (AND he turned slowly.) Tailgaters -- Enough said (and I drive a wee bit above the speed limit). I'm loving how some people don't quite understand the whole 'merge' concept. It's not a drag racing strip and what little space I have between my car and the one ahead of me -- isn't yours! YIELD BITCHES!* Finally, here's tow things you should never presume: when stopped and in the middle lane -- the space isn't for you to squeak your ass between cars and into a gas station... If someone is moving at a decent speen in the right lane... Their car is wrecked, your car is wreck, the car ahead of me is wrecked and MY car is wrecked -- got it? Lastly, don't waste your time waving me on when I refuse to move and don't expect me to wave you on -- a driver can be held partially liable from any accidents that can occur from it (here at least). I appreciate your kindness in doing so, but it ain't going to happen. (Wait!!! I almost forgot the drunk driver ahead of me last week.. There, enough said).
V. When people ask for favors: why is it that the favor needs to be done on the opposite side of the city you just drove to?
VI. We live in the age of 24 hour food stores and restaurants. While internet banking and atms have helped -- why can't they change or extend their hours to accommodate the 9 - 5 people? I mean, I can make the trip during lunch, but it's so very inconvenient... If my bank had a branch where a trip didn't take 30-45 minutes of lunch, I wouldn't bitch.
VII. I'm quitting here. I feel better already.
* - I make allowances for drivers when I see we're neck and neck. I allow people who seem stuck. I'm just not keen on people who think they're fucking nascar drivers -- speeding and flying down a lane that's about to end. SORRY, I've got the right of way!
The neat part of this is, I can turn my car alarm on and off from my cubicle window!
After work, I drove even more. I know gas is expensive. I know the emissions aren't good for the environment... But it was just what I needed. I'm beginning to feel a bit less intimidated.
I got a call yesterday from the temp agency I temped with for the job that had just ended. The company I was working for wants me to work with them for a while longer. I don't know what 'a while' means but it made me happy! There was another project that was coming my way for late August and while I worked it before and LOVED IT, some of the variables that I thought would spring up this year (such as new Vista problems) kind of concerned me. That project is also all about placement and since I'd be returning, I feel I may have gotten a higher trafficked center. Some people thrive on it, I am not sure if I would!
I have always liked Smashing Pumpkins. Siamese Dream is probably my favorite CD from them and then Mellon Collie... Blah blah blah. Last week I saw the video for Tarantula and I thought it was alright. I picked up the cd today and I'm not too thrilled with it. I'm also not disliking it either. It's just not 'grabbing' me. This feeling was also present for the newest Queens cd but after a few listens, I couldn't -stop- listening to it. The pumpkins however?... We'll see. I do find it rather disturbing that Paris Hilton makes an appearance within the cd booklet. *shudder* Maybe I'll sharpie a mustache on her.
Tonight, I'm taking my sister and two of my nieces to see Harry Potter. Can you believe that this movie is the movie I'm most excited to see this summer? I'll probably see Transformers with my other sister, but to be honest... I was never really all that into the cartoon. I know if shouldn't stop me and Lorelei's review of movie takes the sting out of my complete apprehension of seeing it altogether! I know my 'hood peeps/ninjas got my back!
I read this at work. It's terrible, but I liked the twist ending.
I get weird entries to okay. Some are weird jobs. Some are just poorly phrased. But a job titled "Quality Control Tester" at a "medical urinary product" factory made me chuckle. No, the job, as far as I know, didn't entail what it sounded like...!
I went to my favorite CD shop today to pick up The Bravery's new CD The Sun and The Moon. I like it - alot. If you're considering responding that they're "sell outs" because they used to play SKA or that you side with The Killers... Save your damned breath. It's about the music, I like their music.
Went to my nephews last HS baseball game. It was a beautiful day outside. It wasn't bad except someone acted like an ass to me. I'm tired of people doing this to me. I'm afraid the days of turning the cheek have come to an end. I won't become a jerk or an asshole but I don't think I can take much more.
I liked the Heroes finale, very much. Though, I might have had it end a little differently. I still liked it a lot.
The Idol showdown. The "song writing" contest winner. ROFL! They went form having people write terrible, horrid songs for the contestants to sing on the finale from picking a terrible, horrid, craptastic song. What a vast improvement. *gag*. "This is my now" -HURL!- I guess picking anything other than an ill-phrased ballad that eschews cleverness and metaphor might startle and confuse us eh? *big frown* Nope, not surprised. I was kinda pissed House wasn't on after! Tricky programming bastards!
This bird is more filled with love than almost any other I've had. When I pet him before I went up to my room, he ripped off and put a little orange pulp on my finger. Isn't that cool? Cool and maybe a little gross at the same time?
I learned today that NIN is the perfect music for me to listen to when I work. It drowns out my popular neighbor and her meetings, it makes me do a little shimmie, and it helps me power through the queue. I also listened to The Fratellis, Costello Music, which wasn't bad but I was too involved with work to fully focus on it. They're a fun band. I also have kidneythieves and the caesars on this disc, so... quite a bit of variety going on. I also keep the volume just low enough to -hear- visitors and mumbles. I hear it's alright to listen to music while, but I don't believe in pressing my luck by cranking it.
Work was good. I've come to embrace everything. Everything I've mentioned, everything that's a possibility. I'm there to process, get paid, and do well. Being that this is temp, as far as I know, I'm contemplating what steps I should take next. I've been too wound up in planning paychecks and payments out. I can breathe easier there. I used to be so horrible with money, now... I feel the opposite. I'm not by any means fearful of spending, I do, but I don't go apeshit and I am fully aware of implications and limits. Whoa. Being poor and losing touch with materialism, learning wants vs needs, does teach you life lessons. Duh.
I took a major spill yesterday getting out of the shower. I have a few bruises .. All over my right side and I'm even a little lumpy. You know those sliding door tub showers? That inch and a half metal guide at the bottom? That thing hurts much more than you can imagine. Sitting, taking stairs, walking, and resting my right hand are reminders that when I get a house of my own... I'm getting a fucking stall shower with grippy crap all over it. I just can't wait until the subdermal hematomas rear their nasty faces. While I think they're cool looking, the lack of comfort that comes with sucks.
Night.
