OOH Look, I made a crappy Valentines banner. It's transparent and the hearts are partially translucent... They will take and blend with most of the 3 background colors available. I personally dig the gray... Trippy. I was aiming to make some sort of bleeding heart banner but the effects weren't with me. *shrug*
Here are two of my final sculptures that took a day each to build and more time here and there to smooth out and finesse... The front most piece doesn't look quite like it does now, I've warped it more than it was, then I had to play 'compete with nature' and use some techniques to fill in and fight the cracks. You might think these were easy to make, but they were two of the three of my most difficult because I defy the very nature of what the clay wanted to do. Trust me ... It so didn't want to do this. It's one of those things I was known for though, getting clay to do things others thought it might not be able to do. Though I admit... I with I had spent a little more time on the front most piece.

Here are some of my scupltures... I took one regular class with
a man I've grown to respect a lot, Richard Zakin. After a first
semester where I made the first of my significant leaps in ceramics,
(none pictured here) he allowed me to take independent studies so
I could come and go on my own rather unique schedule.
Most of the glazes, barring the fire bowl, are gun metal black/grey.
The fire bowl is glossy black.
