Bidding frenzy for Britney's locks...

I can just imagine all the folks out there praying not only for a few strands, but also for a guide on human cloning.

Have you ever met any celebrities? Any interesting stories?

I met a few. 

I met Oliver North who came by the television stations I worked at.  I shook his hand and got his signature.  I think we talked, but it was only small talk.

I met Oliver Stone a few weeks later at a book signing.  I got his signature and gave him one of my resume's...  As I gave it to him, I said "Just in case you have something that fits my abilities or even if you just need to test your pens..."  He laughed.  I never got a call and never really expected one. :)

I met Don McLean, got his autograph for my sister.  I wasn't too impressed with the vibe I got from him.  If my sis wasn't such a fan, I wouldn't have cared to even ask.  It was nice of him to do it though.

I met Jerry Mathers.  Got an autographed picture.  At the time I was a video op and I was scrambling to get ready for the noon news.  I think all I said was hello and then he waved from the studio... perhaps it doesn't really count.

I met the drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd when I was a freshman in high school.  I was meeting my parents at a bar/restaurant and I had this slime gunk.  He wanted to check it out.  He was dating the bartender's daughter and when they left, the bartender was like "DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT WAS?"  I said "nope!"  She told me and I I think my reaction was "lenard who?"
