I was born in June of 1973.

I am the seventh child, I have six sisters.

I drank a bottle of my mother's perfume when I was two... In the seventies, perfume was 97% alcohol and 3% fragance. I got drunk way before anyone else. I somehow staggered back to her, hiccuping, and reeking of Avon perfume.

I found a box of chocolate bars my sister was selling when I was 3 or 4, they were hidden in an old TV in their bedroom. I ate or took a bite of every single candy bar. (I was looking for the caramel filled ones).

K-Tel, Rhino, and maybe ronco(?) commercials used to get me all exicted, I related them to Christmas.

The Sit and Spin was my favorite toy. But I also have to admit, by father made us a rocking horse I loved. It was quite bouncy.

I had a huge FREAKIN crush on Linda Carter or Wonder Woman.

We had a dog named Sam, I used to sit on his back and blow bubbles. He was a mutt and I loved 'em.

My father was an extremely religious man, rock was evil and I spent
years thinking easy listening music wasn't evil (we all know it is) and
the contraband my sisters brought in were unsafe.

I spent the first 8 years of my education as a hostage in a Catholic
school. Nuns, lay teachers, other kids... They were all bastards (few
exceptions).

My mom threatened to beat the crap out of one of the aforementioned teachers who made me stand in front of a class and then shot a book and a pen at me. It ended there, but it didn't begin there... Like I said, they were all bastards.

I had a speech impediment, a reading problem and spent years missing bits of school, recesses and once, when they forgot me... Lunch. I got to a point where I felt confident about reading and the teacher had people read aloud and after, they would pick who would go next. They would never pick me. (bastards!) I also failed art because I didn't draw stick figures, I drew people.

I spent a lot of time outside. It wasn't unusual to be running around outside when it got dark. Going sledding in a near-by park alone, in the dark... We didn't live in perpetual fear of strangers. Friends and I used to sled down stairs, build ice ramps and get the wind knocked out of us at least once or twice a year.

I liked Ovaltine, everyone else liked Quik.

That's all I feel like dishin' for now.
