What products can't you live without?
Submitted by galindafied.
Are you in ADVERTISING, SALES, or MARKETING?
Sorry, I has to ask. I could live without them all. Still, these days, just about everything is a "product", water, oxygen, vegetation so I could answer this question in those terms... But I won't, unless I hear there's something wrong with our water, I drink mine from the tap. I buy plenty of veggies from markets, and I don't need 'designer' air... I tried it for free once and I couldn't imagine having to pay for it.
Hmm. I might be bummed if my Wii disappeared, but I'd be aggravated over feeling bummed about it.
Funny thing is, someone named me a Product Champion... *sigh* but I don't really feel like explaining that tonight!
Catchy stuff.
A kid started walking across the street today and I had the green. I came to a stop because I couldn't tell if he was going to "book" or "stop" once he realized he wasn't paying attention. His friend yelled at him, he looked up, saw me coming to a stopped, rolled his eyes and kept walking. He was about 12 years old. I rolled down my window, struggled for his attention and said "do you see that green light? That's when cars drive through!" he made me repeat myself and I had. He gave me a dirty look and shrugged and walked away before I could say more. The car in back of me honked. I wanted to shout "see, this jerk behind me would prefer I mow you over!"
He saw me come to a halt and took it for granted that I would remained stopped and not play "stop" and "go" as he momentarily paused. I know how some people would stop, then go, and then stop until they gave up or the kid... But I don't take those chances. I see someone, I stop. At times when I've crossed, I've danced that dance with people.
Later that day, I was driving my mom through a residential section. this particular street is one lane, bidirectional, and this asshole decided to pass me and blow through a few stop signs. A guy like this wouldn't have stopped for that kid. A guy like this could have easily killed a person or a family. This asshole, the only and most important person that will ever matter in this universe is him. I understand "road rage" to an extent, I'd never succumb to it but I understand why it exists. I think there are way to many cases of it where someone made an innocent mistake and someone else who has anger management issues makes it "newsworthy"... Aside from those, I think some of us have more than valid reasons to be enraged with others.
I personally couldn't live with myself if I acted as the driver that passed me did and I was responsible for killing someone. I would go fucking nuts and I just can't fathom why there are douche bags like this out there that simply refuse to give a fuck and I wish there was something I could do to get these fuckers off the streets and get their licenses burned.
If you could go back and change one thing you've done in your life, what would it be?

No offense, but I hate this question. It's a complete waste of time. A more constructive question:
What was one thing in your life you learned from and how has it impacted your decisions from there?
See in this way, users aren't forced to contemplate the "should haves" and "could haves", the despair from being completely powerless about their past, and the depression of wishing or stewing on something that was better off left.
Sometimes, dwelling on the past can leave us vulnerable.
"Amazing
Sensational"" It's only life, it's only music!"
I wonder how people react when they walk by my cube and I'm 'rompin' (shoulders) and 'head bobbing' to this track. Probably:
"What a nut!"
I wish they still came out with music and if they have, wish i could find it!

As soon as the press learned the name of the prostitute associated with Eliot Spitzer, pictures from her MySpace and Facebook accounts were splashed across the web. Do you ever worry about how much personal information there is about you on the internet?
Not really. I'm not concerned about it really, I take accountability for my actions so walk into situations well aware of their possible ramifications.
I think I revealed myself in a few places. I don't think it's hard to 'find me' and for someone like me, it's not hard to find people if I apply myself. So, this isn't the issue. The issue is, what if I do something society wants me to be ashamed of and someone finds my web spaces? It just happens. I can't say everyone agrees with me now or always harbor good intentions when viewing my info. It's the curse of the digital age.
I'm not sure the right person has the focus of this question. I mean, she does something people don't agree with and she gets paid more to do that than I do for working my ass off for longer hours. No, let's reign in our attention on Mr. Spitzer, a governor who in his days prior to taking office investigated and prosecuted people for the very thing he was caught doing. He's the one who should have worried. Transporting a woman whose services he paid to some "club" in order to have sex with her? *tsk* Funny, most "regular" non state official type guys get tossed in jail for paying for sex WITHIN the state. I haven't seen him getting hauled off.
For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, spring is upon us. How does your life change as the weather gets warmer?
With me, it's more about light. When I leave work, there is still plenty of daylight left and it cheers me up. There isn't just a little or no light left, so I feel like I have time. I also feel happier and I know it will eventually get warmer, but I got my sun back.
What is your favorite quote and why?
It might be "et tu, brute" from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. I don't know. Varies.
To stimulate my brain/imagination. I found a book that sounded like something I wanted to read:
I read the first few pages when I got home and started laughing. My mom said "you're laughing already?" I said "yeah!" It wasn't the funniest thing, but after a "today", I think anything slightly funny would have got me roaring. I'm starving for a good laugh.
I was watching the news tonight and they were discussing the 'possibility' that we're in a recession. They mentioned that capital hill had a different name for it "economic slowdown". Perhaps the reasoning for it was to keep from speaking incorrectly? Hah.
If not, call it what it is. A recession. It would be nice if people stopped trying to be 'cunning linguists' and just treated us as we should be treated. I think I can speak for us all when I say "we're tired of it".
They also mentioned that they needed to "encourage consumer confidence"! My answer to them? My favorite finger in the world and these words "I'm confident I need to save.". If we feel we need to be economically cautious because we need to budget accordingly for gas thats $4 a gallon and other expensive necessities, perhaps they should spend their time advising the government and business what they can do to help us out of this crap and into a time of economic comfort? I mean, all I have seen in recent years is inflation. Sure, here and there we get a break but over all, all prices have not really been on a decline.
Last I checked, it wasn't my fault I couldn't afford to buy real estate, invest in the stock market or buy a new car. How about you?
