I'm too tired to phrase out what I want to say. Basically, it comes down to some people offending my mom for her beliefs, for no good reason other than to feel good about themselves. My mom's never acted to convert a soul. She's never told anyone they had to do anything. I think she mentioned 'god' and for some reason, my uncle and a guest really got nasty and upset her. They made fun of her beliefs, things she grew believing, and things she's come to love her entire life. It sounded like they were out to offend her and enjoyed doing it.
I can understand living without belief. I can understand having issues with what others believe but I can't understand making sport of another's beliefs or even lack there of. I can't understand making a sweet woman, who had invited these dickwads over for a nice meal and spirits, feel so upset, alienated, and perhaps even a bit victimized in her own house or anywhere for that fact.
I find myself eager to be present the very next time such conditions are right for this to occur again. While I'm not a devote catholic or even close to being one... I'd like a crack at making these two schmucks question ever making anyone from any walk of faith feel like she had that night. It might not be a debate of faith or lack there of but a true lack of decency and respect for the beliefs of others.
What do you always forget to pack?

Toothbrush. I always forget the fricken toothbrush!
What are the positive and negative associations that you and those around you have with blogging? Have attitudes changed over time?
Positive -- This large world is smaller and I'm exposed to people I might have never gotten to know, on some level.
Negative -- Thing's aren't always as they seem. Text always gives so much and we're the masters of our own identity.... Show what we wish, obscure what we're insecure with or simply choose not to divulge. It can be innocent as well as dangerous... Depending on how deeply you thrust yourself down this wabbit hole.
Positive -- You can share your gripes with the world when it's the last thing you'd do in reality. It can feel safe to spill it if you've gone the lengths or think that there's no way it can be tracked to you.
Negative -- Time and time again, this has proven to be so wrrrrong!
Positive -- There's a bit of a luxury that comes with blogging. Time. It's not a true to form real time sort of medium.
Negative -- Sometimes the luxury of time can make the more obtuse, rude, and cruel seem rather sharp after using time to
verbally enrich posts used to skewer others.
Positive -- I don't feel like writing anymore. I'm bored.
Negative -- ?
I haven't done much today. Made coffee, cashed check, bought groceries, came home and napped. It was a fantastic nap too! Then, I went downstairs and watch some tube... I watched Farscape and Simply Ming -- interesting combo eh? Eventually I ended up here, staring at a screen chocked full of very blurry letters. *sigh* I was warned I'd probably need glasses in my thirties and lately, this has been proving itself to be true.
I used to have glasses as a kid. Actually, I only got them because I wanted them because a friend had them. I was such a weird kid.
If I concentrate it clears a little... :\
How does a dual core 3.4ghz 1gb mem machine meet it's match? iTunes.
250,000k of mem process hogging music playing... Crap hole of a media program. (compaired to 4.6k of QMP)
Perhaps the newer version is any better? HAH. Let's hope!
When was the last time you did something dangerous?

There's a fine line between dangerous and stupid. Many things straddle it.
Unprotected sex is both dangerous and stupid! I haven't done that though... If the opportunity arises, I'm prepared for safety. Does the expiration date really matter? Phfft!
Um... Uh... I... Well? OH RIGHT! I went walking where I shouldn't be. But I was lost, does that count?
I flirt with taken women... That can be dangerous. And if I do it intentionally, stupid.
Errr... Hmm. Can I get back to you?
The themes are so completely... "pretty". This is intended for guys too right?
Thank GOD for make our own...
EDIT:
HOLY SHIT! I didn't even see my own blog until after this... I HATE this new release. WTF is up with the goddamned dashboard on my blog? Don't fricken want it there! Hide DOES NOT HIDE IT ENOUGH. The framed controls? WHAT THE HELL?! *bleh*
I know I'm being mean... I'm in a crappy mood. THIS WEEKS GONE ON TOO LONG! ARRGH! I NEED MORE SLEEP!
TOO MANY LINES!
What is your home decorating style, and how has it changed over time? Do you have plans to redecorate?

I don't have a home. I have a room in the house I grew up in... It's a mess because how is one supposed to fit enough stuff to furnish an apartment? The mess is very feng shui though.
I envy those of you who want simplicity...
Who live, work, and marinate in all that is simplicity...
I'm not -me- unless I'm kicking shit up a notch, it's what I do.
The stress is worse. The self expectations are worse than those of others.
Made a friend a site. It wasn't the greatest, but I thought it was neat... in a thematic way... relevant to the reason it was created.
He wants a simple, plain, easy css/xhtml site and blog. Which is good. Simple is good... It's one of those that I was supposed to have learned to appreciate and strive for -- as conflicting as it seems. I'm talking "All you need is a white page, black text, with standard links... available for everyone, forever...". Not that color was bad or shunned, but {-- all of this --} here.. a hell of a lot of work for the purpose of stuff I can do in a simpler fashion. Complexity isn't bad. Wanting it isn't bad. But complacency with simplicity? That's enviable!
Audio: It's 70's music Wednesday.
UHHH... No.. Seventies happen on Saturdays... Fricken get with it already! Lame-ohs. Jeezis!
This is the kind of song I wouldn't mind hearing from the 70s, when I go out and that's the theme. I don't mind disco, I like acting like an idiot to disco, but the other songs from the 70s unfortunately get the shaft when 'music' is mentioned. Take this track for example. It's groovy.
