Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost?
Submitted by Nancy.
How politically incorrect!!! They preferred being called Undead Americans or Undead Canadians, whatever fits best you know. Some of the elder undead prefer the term Spirit or if they're evil, because they're doing the whole evil thing "take over this premise" schtick they will haunt your ass if you don't refer to them as malevolent apparitions. Seriously... Ghost is such a lumping delimiter for such a ... a ... varied and diverse lifeforce!
I'm so astonished. Nancy, you ought to be ashamed... I thought we lived in a more enlightened time! ;)
Seriously, I'm skeptical. But I'd like the chance to be proven wrong.
Do you remember your first flight? Where did you go? Why?
Submitted by Laurel.
My first flight was from where I live to Denver, Colorado. I was about 14 years old and I was very excited. At the time, two of my sisters lived there. MY sister lived in my other sister's house with her family. It was so much fun and I got to do a lot of cool things. Went to some look out peak at night, the city at the highest elevation in the US... GOt to eat a lot of great food. Years later, after my sister with the family moved, I moved there to escape my hometown... Which I'm currently stuck in once again. Tragically funny how things come full circle.

Shouldn't I be a noun though? :p
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
Submitted by Megan.
When I was growing up, I didn't think twice about it... They were simply delicious, fried crunchy things I ate. My parents ate them, my sisters passed... I never thought twice. What was it? Fried cow kidneys! Yes, pretty gross, right? I was fooled. I used to like them and if I was served one fresh today... I might taste it, but I don't think I'd want to eat it. We also had liver from time to time, served with honey. My parents liked Limburger cheese and would eat that regularly. I eat sushi, I've had a variety of types. While various parts of this may make some of you cringe, it's not so strange for me.
The weirdest and perhaps most grotesque thing that I've had, in my opinion, was brie cheese. I was at a formal art showing, actually, I was in the building all day and one of my profs yanked me out... We were talking and they were serving warm goowy brie and crackers and I tried it. Lets say my prof had good reason to laugh at my reactions. I had to excuse myself to get rid of it. It tasted so nasty and vile and it's consistency didn't help!
What food or drink do you love when it's cold out? (Recipes and recommendations, please!)
Drinks: Coffees, hot chai, cocoa, tea....
Foods: Vegetable soup, Chili, Mac and cheese, Ham noodles broccoli and cheese casserole, tuna noodle casserole, helupchies (cabbage filled with hamburg and rice), pitaha (pierogies), Shepards pie...
My mom cooks most of the time, but I cook too. When I make vegetable soup, what makes it so wonderful is gathering all of my favorite vegetables: red peppers, tomatoes, beans (all kinds), greens, broccoli, onions, garlic, ect. Usually well over $20 worth of veggies and some canned stewed tomatoes. I wash 'em, put some olive oil in a large kettle, broil up some of the veggies (half of what I bought) until I feel it's ready for water... I add a bunch of water, I cook the vegetables until they're blanched, almost about to fall apart. I take them out, transer the broth to another big pot (pouring through a sieve to catch what i couldn't pick out). Then in the empty pot, I put a little olive oil in, then the rougher veggies to cook (like carrots), and I stir them around and when I feel it's ready, add the broth and the rest of the new veggies... I even add potatoes and if I feel lucky, pasta (pasta is tricky because it absorbs the broth and if you add too much, it will take all the broth. If you add it too early, it will fall apart. If you really want pasta, just cook it separate and add it after the soup has cooled. Viola. Sorry. It's not a recipe thing, it's a top of my head thing. I don't add salt, it's something I leave up to everyone else.
How many computers do you have in your house?
Submitted by Foomper.
There are two computers in our house. Two and one dead one. The dead one is one I had for three years or so, an athlon 1.7 ghz I had. I built it myself and loved it to pieces. The one I'm on right now is one I built myself, a dual core 3.4 ghz, with 1gb ram, 256mb overclocked sapphire ati x1600, and a 160gb hard drive. The other working computer is downstairs, my sisters, and it's significantly insignificant... I mean, it's a celeron, I boosted her memory and now it doesn't act so terribly... I also built my other sister computer, who lives around the corner from me... That one has a 3gb hd, 128mb nvidia card, and a 1.8ghz chip... with one cd-rw and a dvd-r/rw.
My other sister, who live across town has a macbook, I recommended she get one after all the times I went over to fix all of her pc's over the years. She was so pleased with it, she gave one to her daughter when she went off to college. Since then, I've gotten to know Macs and still prefer PCs more, mostly because I'm a control freak and like tweaking things, I like windows and I know how to make it leap through hoops for me.
What are your plans for the weekend?
Kinda late to really be doing this.

I have no idea what I'll be doing tomorrow.
