QotD: Take Me Back
If you were told you could relive a moment in your life, which would you choose?

At the time these moments happened, I didn't think I'd ever think "life moved fast". I never thought there'd come a day where I learned the excruciating pain of losing a parent.
My father and I had a bittersweet relationship. For many years, it seemed more bitter than sweet and the bitterness obscured our relationship. It robbed me of perspective and seeing the full scope of who he was and what he meant to me, but he never lost that for me. Over 10 years before he died, we were able to overcome the wall that separated us and we managed to get closer. Still, it wasn't until he was diagnosed with cancer and when he died that I became flooded memories and feelings of who we were to one another.
So, the moment in life I'd love to relive would be one of the many I'd spend with my mother and him fishing. When he was trying to teach me things I didn't hear then.
