QotD: Paying Pro Athletes

Comments

My mom is a home support worker and she works her ASS off and she still doesn't make enough money to buy grocerys bi-weekly. Some days she can't even afford the gas to get to work... We live in a messed up world when it comes to money.
It definitely is. I am the only boy in my family and the only one to escape from the curse of the hand-me-downs. I don't understand how my parents did what they did with what they had. Probably the days and days of leftovers and meals like spaghetti. :)
omg, spaghetti is what we eat as well when we haven't gone shopping. lol
My parents had a few recipes they'd make where they'd make enough to last part of the week. Soups, casseroles, stews (bleh, I still haven't developed a liking for "stews"), and other things. Oooh... I didn't mention hot dogs. We'd eat tons and tons of hot dogs over the summer! The only other thing we could have other than a hot dog would be cereal or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (maybe tuna or bologna). Do athletes ever need to face such menu options? maybe they had, but they don't now.
