QotD: Not Allowed In The Cart
What item(s) do you have to prevent yourself from buying at the grocery store?

- Ice cream: Dove, Ben and Jerries .. Any kind really.
- Baked goods: do-nots, cakes, and any other creation that only serves to broaden my horizontally.
- Ready cooked foods: Fried, greasy, delicious wings.
- Candy: Sugar is bad, mmmkay?
- Canned fruit: The fresh stuff is better for ya... Tastier too.
- Any section that sells cheese: I fucking loooooove cheese.
- Chips: Sure they changed oils, but I'd still try to avoid them if they were deep fried in angel piss. (eeew)
- Chocolate Milk: Lactose intolerant.
- Cakes/instant: Like Duncan Hines crap.
- Cheap Bread: I now hate shitty, half baked mass processed rat food.
- Fluff: Love the stuff, but a line is drawn and that craps empty calories
- 'BAR FOOD': Salad bar food, soup bar, fruit bar, self serve -- because people are fucking pigs and I've caught so many use the SAME FORK/SPOON TO SAMPLE EVERYTHING... NO WAY! I also used work in a store and would have to follow repeat offenders around to keep them from spreading their germs. Filthy bastards.
Now, this doesn't mean I don't occasionally buy a few of the above items... It's not a complete abstinence thing, it's how I try to shop. Sometimes we need a little ice cream (and the subsequent pain of the lactose intolerant shock afterwards) and a treat...
If you're not lactose intolerant, you'd ask why or if I put milk in my coffee... Well it's about quantity. It seems ot me increasingly smaller and smaller amounts that set off the pain. Today I had a orange mocha from starbucks and spent a full shift in pain at work. Other times, I don't have a problem at all... It's a strange thing to live with.
