Possible headlines for Wednesday, Jan. 24 2007, and rant.

This is MY news paper, and this is MY possible headlines concerning the state of the union:

"In one fell swoop, the president of the US attempts to salvage at least one shred of someone else's dignity (because, he's out) in an attempt to create a future where a few favorable sentences of his presidency, existence, exist."

"In last nights appearance, The Decider lets up know what he's decided is best..."

"BREAKING NEWS!  President reveal groundbreaking aerobic fitness routine to curb obesity in America: sit, clap, stand, sit, stand, clap, sit, clap, stand ...!  Set to his new speech: daydreams and best intentions!"

"In case of emergency, point to real heroes to end on high note!  If signs of ripened produce exist, duck out before their attention redirects!"

I sometimes, almost want to apologize for feel cynical... NAH!

I'm really tired of The Decider and his cronies of making the slur that if you're not aligned with his modus operandi, you don't support or appreciate our troops while calling for all of us to unite.  I'm really tired of hearing the cluster of words "defending our freedom", the way I see it, The Decider made quick work of "our freedoms" over his tenure, as he is determined to continue to do.  He's also set to continue to prey on our fears while adding to -his- growing list of enemies.  I believe our presence in the region has a polarizing effect, but not one in which he'd like for us to believe.  I wouldn't say I can vouch for any groups alignment or agenda, but I tend to think a certain chain of events is leading us down a darker road.

Concerning our oil addiction?  A call to alleviate our burden by relying on our own natural resources through an environmentally sound means?  How's he going to beam oil from Alaska to the refineries?  He's been after Alaska for YEARS know...  Certainly, it would be cheaper, but it doesn't serve us well to make an environmental exception in means to further harm the environment as well as our economy, does it?  Finally Mr. Decider, alternate means for a cleaner environment which could create a boon to the economy have existed for some time now. If you gave the right industries an incentive to pursue it, and by incentive it can be detrimental as well as beneficial depending on their willingness to concede to the environment instead of the dollar and YEAH DICK THAT MEANS YOU TOO!  We just might not irreparably screw over this beautiful planet as well as our future generations.  The means and capability to run on cleaner, cheaper, more efficient fuels has existed for a loooong while now (they showed how to convert cars on Discovery as well as MTV... MT-FRICKEN-V for christs sake!) and you've helped many to drag their heals just so they can reap the highest profits from price gouging ever obtained in history...

You'll have to forgive me for the outburst, hypothesiseses, and speculation... I'll be down with this illness until 2009, unless a majority of us find a new inept, fear mongering windbag to stand behind.
