One Weight Lifted...

I finished my taxes tonight and I feel happy to have this out of the way.  It doesn't necessarily mean it's over, nuh-uh, but for the time being, it's out of my hands.  I was a bit disappointed with the amount I'll be getting in a return and I expect no, I'm on the edge of demanding an economic stimulus check... :-/  In the past I've gotten everything back because I didn't earn enough, this year, I'm getting a smaller fraction of what was taken and for the record, I earned less than 20 thousand dollars (see, told you I was underpaid... by  A LOT).  Sad thing is I hear people say how they have plans for their returns... Vacations, presents, whatever... My plans are along the ling of car repairs and savings.

Where did I go wrong and how do I get right?  Nothing seems right.

I actually get extra $ taken out of each check to make sure that I get something back in the spring. I know it's basically an interest-free savings and that it doesn't always make financial sense, but if I don't see it, and it's not in my savings account then I don't spend it. And can use it to pay down debt or do something frivolous or a little of both.
